Developing

KALLH is a React and TypeScript client (Vite) and an Express and TypeScript server on Postgres, in one repository with npm workspaces.

Terminal window
git clone https://github.com/kallhq/kallh.git && cd kallh
npm install
npm run db:up # Postgres 16 in Docker on localhost:5433
cp server/.env.example server/.env
cp client/.env.example client/.env
npm run db:migrate
npm run create-admin --workspace=server -- <username> <password>
npm run dev # client on :5173, API on :3001
Terminal window
npm test # unit tests
npm run test:integration # the API against a real Postgres (db:up first)
npm run test:e2e # Playwright user stories, two sample clubs
npm run lint && npm run build

The end-to-end suite runs two sample clubs, Alpine (a ski club) and Parkside (a golf club), each on its own server. The architecture and feature notes are in docs/claude/, and the user stories the suite checks are in docs/user-stories/.
